Alumni Spotlight: Lizzy Goodman


Lizzy Goodman graduated from the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design as a student in the Design & Visual Communications program. Her time in the program was transformative, as she learned not only the principles of design but also how to turn visual communication into a lucrative career path. Lizzy credits her professors with shaping her understanding of the field, helping her develop a keen eye for impactful design, and instilling in her a sophisticated business perspective on the power and potential of creative work. Through their mentorship, she gained practical skills and a strategic approach to visual storytelling, positioning her to make a meaningful impact in the design industry.

Today, Lizzy works as a Visual Designer at Contentful, where she brings her creative vision and expertise to life in the tech industry. In her role, she collaborates with highly skilled creative directors and art directors, constantly inspired by their innovation. Lizzy’s work has been featured in high-traffic areas like the London Underground and the Austin, TX airport, allowing her designs to engage a global audience. Working in such a dynamic environment allows her to apply the foundational skills she gained at KU to cutting-edge design projects, contributing to a field she deeply loves.
