Interior Architecture student receives prestigious global hospitality design scholarship
LAWRENCE – Aryn Snyder, a third-year Interior Architecture student at the University of Kansas School of Architecture & Design, has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 NEWH Harvey Nudelman Global Scholarship, sponsored by Fabricut Contract.
The scholarship supports interior architecture and design students who demonstrate financial need and an interest in hospitality design. For Snyder, the award provides support that allows her to focus more fully on her education while also creating opportunities to connect with professionals in the hospitality design field.
As part of the recognition, Snyder traveled to Las Vegas on May 5 to attend the annual NEWH HD Expo + Conference. During the event, she was honored at the Women in Design Awards Breakfast, where she was invited on stage alongside Fabricut Contract CEO David Finer to say a few words before accepting her award.
Beyond the financial support, the scholarship has introduced Snyder to the hospitality design community and provided opportunities to begin building professional connections as she explores future career paths in the industry.
The Harvey Nudelman Global Scholarship is awarded through NEWH, Inc. (Network of Executive Women in Hospitality), an organization dedicated to supporting education, scholarship, networking, and professional development within the hospitality industry.
Snyder's achievement highlights the strength of the School of Architecture & Design's Interior Architecture program and the opportunities available to students through engagement with professional organizations and industry partners. Her recognition also reflects the growing impact of KU students within the national design community.
