Biography —
Ms. McMurray has 27 overall years of commercial and high-end residential interior design and architecture experience, transitioning to commercial lighting industry in 2007. Currently she is in specifications sales in the Mercer Zimmerman Lighting and Controls, one of the leading lighting and controls companies in the midwest. She is NCIDQ certified and is an active member of IIDA.

Since 2023, she has been teaching IA 230: Lighting Technology and Design in the IA program and ARCH 600: Lighting Technology and Design in the M.Arch program. She has also taught senior interior design studios in the former interior design program in the Design department for two years. She frequently offers guest lectures in the KU Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department, K-State’s Interior Design Department, Park University’s Interior Design Department, UCM’s Interior Design Department, Johnson County Community College’s Interior Design and UNI’s Interior Architecture Program.
