Kelechi Akwazie

Kelechi is a PhD student researching senior housing, with a sub-focus on memory-care environments. His work examines the relationship between dementia care technologies and the architectural planning of these settings, aiming to anticipate the spatial impacts of emerging technologies on the future of memory care design. He is an alumnus of KU SADP's Health and Wellness program and brings professional experience in healthcare design from firms including HDR and APMA. Kelechi also holds a master's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where his thesis, "The Impact of the Built Environment on the End-of-Life Journey," explored end-of-life care spaces.
