Biography

Marzieh is a PhD student at the University of Kansas. She focused on environmental psychology during her master's degree in order to gain a deeper understanding of the effects of physical environments on human feelings. In her master's thesis, she examined how nursing home design affects the satisfaction of elderly residents and nurses in nursing homes. In this regard, Marzieh developed a keen interest in learning more about healthcare and wellness design. Additionally, she conducted a study using mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) to examine the relationship between effective factors to improve elderlies' satisfaction in nursing homes. As a result of her background in mathematics and her interest in researching healthcare environments, Marzieh has become more eager to learn new research methodologies such as meta-analysis.
