ArcD students present at KU's 2023 Undergraduate Research Symposium, April 17-21

The creative impulse presents possibilities and activates inquiry. Whether designing user interfaces, visual experiences, footwear, furniture, or skyscrapers, the role of research – and the ability to communicate it – is vital to delivering successful outcomes. At the KU School of Architecture & Design, teaching students how to effectively utilize and apply research is key to preparing our graduates for the present and future of practice.

As design students at an Association of American Universities (AAU) institution, undergraduates at The University of Kansas build essential research skills at all levels of the educational experience with support from world-class resources and expertise. Opportunities like the KU Center for Undergraduate Research Symposium allow students to develop projects with faculty mentors and present research in a vibrant multidisciplinary setting.
