Certificate in Building Information Modeling
The BIM online certificate has been designed to provide comprehensive knowledge in the area of BIM technologies. BIM is a new, model-centric technology designed to support the design, construction, and management of buildings.
The BIM online certificate will be earned primarily by KU graduate students in Architecture and in Architectural Engineering, as well as non-degree-seeking students. These students will show a major interest in BIM and advanced computer applications for design, such as building energy simulations and parametric modeling.
Notice to Students: The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Graduate Certificate program will not be renewed after Summer 2024.
- For current students who have already formally applied to the Building Information Graduate Certificate program and started working on coursework related to this Graduate Certificate program, don’t worry, you can continue to take courses to complete the requirements of the program.
- For students who may have not yet applied, but have started coursework toward the certificate. Please make sure that you apply in time for admission no later than Summer 2024. No new students may be admitted after the last admit term of Summer 2024. The deadline for summer 2024 is 6/3/24.
If you run into problems or have questions about the application process, please contact Joan Weaver (jweaver@ku.edu).
If you have any questions regarding the graduate certificate, please reach out to Professor Kurt Hong (Kurt.hong@ku.edu) or Jordan Wade (jordanwade@ku.edu).
