Diversity Alliance

The Diversity Alliance at the KU School of Architecture & Design is a group of firms that recognize the lack of diversity within our profession, feel an urgency to address the issue, and have the desire to support the school’s efforts in this area.

Diversity Alliance firms make a 5-year financial commitment to any of the school’s DEIB initiatives, based on the firm’s size.  

Members of the Diversity Alliance meet with the Associate Dean for DEIB once a year to discuss the past year’s efforts, plan for the upcoming year, and receive updates on overall progress towards increased diversity.

Each member firm is also invited to send employees to a variety of school activities that include, but are not limited to, pipeline projects, studio reviews, portfolio reviews, and student gatherings to interact directly with current and prospective students and faculty.
