Interior Architecture student has been named the recipient of the 2026 NEWH Harvey Nudelman Global Scholarship. Snyder was recognized at the NEWH HD Expo in Las Vegas, where she accepted the award during the Women in Design Awards Breakfast. The scholarship supports students pursuing hospitality design and provides opportunities to connect with professionals across the industry.

Architecture professor Chad Kraus has been named a recipient of the 2026 William T. Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence. A nationally recognized educator, scholar, and leader of KU's award-winning Dirt Works Studio, Kraus is advancing architectural education through innovative design-build pedagogy, natural materials research, and experiential learning. He will be honored at the University Teaching Awards on October 13.

KU architecture alumnus David Manica is helping shape the future of Chiefs Kingdom. MANICA Architecture, the firm he founded, has been selected to lead the design of the Kansas City Chiefs’ new stadium. The milestone project reflects the impact of KU School of Architecture & Design alumni on the national and global stage while bringing Manica’s hometown vision to one of the NFL’s most iconic franchises.
