KU Architecture students awarded AIA-St. Louis scholarships


LAWRENCE — Eleven University of Kansas School of Architecture & Design students have received scholarships from the American Institute of Architects’ St. Louis chapter. 

Lydia Juengling, from Marthasville, Missouri, was awarded a $6,000 scholarship from the AIA-St. Louis Ralph Ranft fund. 

AIA St. Louis Chapter Scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $5,000, were awarded to the following KU architecture department students: 

  • Leonardo Angel Aguilar-Behsman, O’Fallon, Missouri 

  • Cora Blackford, St. Louis 

  • Jackson Bontty, St. Louis 

  • Zachary Earley, Wildwood, Missouri 

  • John Heller, St. Louis 

  • Christian Hunn, Lake St. Louis, Missouri 

  • Samuel Lengyel, St. Louis 

  • Piero Alberto Martinez, Chesterfield, Missouri 

  • Julianna Ribble, St. Louis 

  • David Tauser, Wentzville, Missouri. 

The AIA St. Louis Scholarship Fund is one of the largest architectural scholarship programs in the country, according to the AIA. Founded in 1965, the fund assists students from the greater St. Louis region enrolled in accredited programs by the National Architecture Accrediting Board.
