Join University of Kansas Department of Design students and faculty as they open their studio doors and showcase work in Chalmers Hall at KU on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  

See the work of past and present Illustration & Animation, Industrial Design, Photography, and Visual Communication Design students, and their studio spaces and labs. View design faculty work in the Edgar Heap of Birds Family Gallery. 

Students and faculty will be on hand to answer questions and guide visitors to the various studios and exhibition areas. Refreshments will be provided in the Chalmers Café adjacent to the gallery (300 level).

The KU Department of Design prepares animators, illustrators, experience designers, graphic designers, marketing creatives, motion designers, photographers, product designers, UX/UI developers, and other multidisciplinary communicators to thrive as innovative practitioners and socially-engaged leaders in an ever-changing professional field.
