Studio Spotlight: Design Outside Studio in Rocky Mountain National Park
This summer, students in visual communication design professor Jeremy Shellhorn's Design Outside Studio spent a week exploring, studying, and documenting the flora, fauna, and landscape in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Students created graphics and illustrations to celebrate and commemorate the theme of “regrowth” and how it is manifested in the park's wildlife.
The studio concluded with an exhibition of student work at the park’s Beaver Meadows Visitor Center in Estes Park.
Students in the Design Outside Studio collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and others on real-world design projects that promote and enhance visitor experiences in parks and public lands.
