Spring 2024 Design Symposium Lecture Series schedule
The University of Kansas School of Architecture & Design will welcome award-winning animation development artist Angela Sung on Feb. 1 as the first speaker of the spring KU Design Symposium Lecture Series. Spring 2024 lectures begin at 6 p.m. in 130 Budig Hall on the KU Lawrence campus. Events are free and open to the public.

KU architecture class partners with Lawrence elementary school to construct shade structure
Third-year KU Designbuild students designed and fabricated an 800-square-foot pavilion and companion rain garden with native plantings at the first fully-accessible playground in Kansas. A grand opening event will take place on Dec. 15 in Lawrence.

The 40th year of the KU Design Symposium kicks off Thursday, Aug. 24 at 6pm
The first KU Design Symposium of the Fall 2023 season features Kris Kuksi, an artist who uses sculptural mixed media assemblage to build chimerical worlds, distorted mythologies, and rich narratives that destabilize familiar concepts of history, culture, and humanity.
